Marvel: the director of Thunderbolts* in control of the next X-Men film?

Jake Schreier is popular with Marvel these days while the last film from the studio, Thunderbolts * has collected the best criticisms of recent years for a feature film MCU. Because of it, Marvel would have offered to sign the next film X-Men.

The X-Men at the heart of the future of the MCU?

According to The Hollywood Reporterthe discussions have just started between the studio and the filmmaker, but Schreier is at the top of the list of people that Marvel would like to see in control of the film.

The mystery remains around this reboot project of the saga X-Men. We only know that Michael Lessliescreenwriter on the film Hunger Games: the ride of the snake and the singer birdis writing while Kevin Feige, the Boss of Marvel, is still and always a producer.

On the other hand, nothing is known about the intrigue, the casting or the release window of this future film.

Anyway, this confirms that Marvel indeed sees his future among the mutants. After the appearance of Wolverine in the 2024 blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine and with the upcoming release of Four fantastic: first stepsit is indeed high time that Marvel has finally put forward her plans around a new film X-Men.

Between 2000 and 2019, 20th Century Fox gave birth to 13 films around X-Men mutants, generating more than six billion dollars at the box office.

We will also see some of the actors of this franchise in the next film Avengers: Doomsdaylike Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), or Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), which indicates that Marvel has not finished mixing his MCU with the past of Fox (which Disney bought in 2019).
