Meta can tremble: Xiaomi throws glasses connected to 240 € with record autonomy

The world of connected glasses is still in its infancy. But with the product of the day, unveiled by the manufacturer affects everything and often the right quality/price ratio Xiaomi, things could well evolve quickly. Here are the Xiaomi Ai Glasses, unveiled at a conference in China with immediate outing in the country.

During its presentation, Xiaomi did not hesitate to directly make the comparison between its product and Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. The Chinese manufacturer thus targets people in search of a pair of discreet glasses, but still with interesting characteristics.
As their sober name suggests, these glasses have a house of the firm. This on -board artificial intelligence can see your environment and assist you on a daily basis. Turn off the lights at home, pay for a product by looking at a scanner or knowing the number of calories in food are all examples of the possibilities of these connected glasses.

Video calls and live broadcasting are obviously part of the game, while it is possible to record videos up to 2k/30 fps up to 10 minutes. Headphones and microphones are integrated, while there is a question of live translation.
Weighing only 40 grams (against 42 for its competitors), the Xiaomi Ai Glasses have another argument to supplant Ray-Ban’s proposal: its announced autonomy is just over 8 hours in conventional use, against 4 hours at Ray-Ban. Complete recharging only takes 45 minutes.

Three colors and several options for glasses are offered. A version with tinted glass offers to adjust the intensity by touching the right branch.
Finally comes the question of price. More expensive than Glasses Mijia Smart Audio, but less advanced than Mijia Glass Camerathe Xiaomi Ai Glasses are offered from 1,999 yuan, or around € 240 excl. Tax.
It remains to be seen whether they will come out of China, because Xiaomi admits during its presentation that the shape of its product has been specially designed for the shape of Asian faces.
