Monarch season 2: King Kong appears in the teaser for Apple TV’s Godzilla series

Ready to find the Titans? There season 2 of the series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters prepares its arrival on Apple TV with a first teaser revealing the continuation of this science fiction series which takes place in the universe of the franchise Godzilla.

King Kong enters the scene

After following a brother and sister in search of the links uniting their family to a secret organization called Monarch in its first season, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters returns to our screens next February with 10 new episodes which will take them to Skull Island, the island of King Kong.

We can see the latter in the teaser below, but he is not the only monster who will cause trouble in this season 2, because a clash of the titans is looming on the horizon.

As a reminder, the series takes place in the Monsterverse of Legendary, which includes the first Godzillareleased in 2014 then Kong: Skull Islandreleased in 2017, Godzilla II – King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and finally Godzilla x Kong: The New Kingdom (2024), the franchise’s biggest hit of any film Godzilla of history. The sequel, Godzilla x Kong: Supernovais planned for 2027.

Until then, fans of this titanic saga will be able to see these monsters again in the series Monarchwhose showrunner is Chris Black (Severance). The cast includes Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett and Anders Holm.

Apple TV also announced that Kurt Russell will return in season 2, as Lee Shaw, a character he shares with his son 50 years apart.

The first episode of this new season of Monarch will be available on the Apple TV streaming service on February 27, 2026, followed by a new episode every Friday until May 1, 2026. Note that Apple TV series are included in the offers Canal+.
