Moto G86 and G56 5G: Motorola highlights the solidity of its new smartphone at low prices
Like all its competitors, Motorola cannot be satisfied with premium smartphones – such as its recent RAZR 60 Ultra In folding format -the majority of consumers equip themselves with much less expensive terminals. It is to them that its Moto G86 and Moto G56, two more affordable terminals are addressed, since the most expensive model of the lot costs less than 350 €. Two Android smartphones intended to replace the Moto G55 and G85 dating from August 2024by betting like their elders on a sophisticated and colorful design.
Cap on sustainability
The double standard is in the spotlight, since it has been seen very recently on GT 7 and GT 7T of Realme : The two Moto G are IP68 certified (resistant to an immersion in fresh water for 30 minutes), but also IP69, which guarantees their resistance to hot water. Given their price range, where sealing is rare, the characteristic deserves to be noted. The two smartphones, Motorola announces, meet the Mil-STD-810h standard (military standard), also rare in the world of consumer telephony, and a fortiori On affordable terminals.
If they share these characteristics, the Moto G86 and G56 are distinguished by the rest of their characteristics. The first is available a 6.7 -inch poled slab at the refreshment rate up to 120 Hz, and relies on a Mediatek Dimensity 7300 chip flanked by 8 GB of RAM. It also has a rather imposing battery of 5200 mAh (200 mAh more than the G85 motorcycle) compatible with a load at 30 W, and it offers a double photo module (50 Mpx for the Grand Angle, 8 Mpx for Ultra Grand Angle). A little less ambitious, the G56 motorcycle prefers a 6.72 inch LCD screen (Full HD+), a Dimensity 7060 chip engraved in 6 Nm (it succeeds the Dimensity 7025 of the G55 motorcycle), and keeps the same photo block or the same battery.
The two smartphones will be available in the coming weeks at a price of € 349 for the G86 5G motorcycle, and € 279 for the G56 5G motorcycle, the price of which is therefore inflation of € 30 compared to that of the G55 motorcycle, which nevertheless justifies its increased material sustainability. Too bad, however, that only two years of Android updates are announced, even if six years of safety fixes are promised.
