After the Cosmos series and especially The 4K we testedNebula, a subsidiary of Anker, goes upmarket with the launch of the Nebula X1, its most ambitious video projector to date.

The technical sheet is attractive on paper since the video projector is based on a triple laser capable of delivering a 4K UHD resolution, a brightness of 3,500 Lumens ANSI and a dynamic contrast that promises to be high, all certified Dolby Vision. The X1 can project an image of 300 inches, enough to make a real cinema installation at home or in its garden. The whole thing works under Google TV which offers most of the streaming applications of the moment.

Advanced ergonomics with liquid cooling!?

The X1 can adapt to all configurations easily, not thanks to a swing on a scale as we see in most competitors today (Xgimi’s horizon S For example), but thanks to its integrated microbalance and an adjustable optical module. It can bow at 25 °, zoom up to 200 inches, and memorize the settings, even after a trip.

Like any current good projector, it obviously has a focus and an automatic trapezoidal correction, as well as a bypass of obstacles, and an ambient light sensor.

To contain the heat without climbing the noise, the X1 even goes so far as to offer liquid cooling, unheard of so far on this type of product. However, we will have to check during our tests if this system is effective and truly silent, and not just a marketing element.

An audio system and karaoke in bonus

On the audio side, the X1 more than solid with four integrated speakers (2×15 W + 2×5 W) and two passive radiators, much more than on most competitors. As a bonus, you can add Wi-Fi satellite speakers to strengthen sound immersion. IP54 certified, they resist dust and projections (sometimes you want to install a cinema by the pool), but above all they have the advantage of operating on battery and offering 8 hours of autonomy. Wireless microphones are also available, for your best karaoke evenings.

Price and availability

The Nebula X1 should be available in the coming days at a necessarily premium rate of € 3000 and it is therefore positioned head -on with the excellent Hisense C2 Ultra. Note that a reduction of € 500 is offered until June 14, 2025, but we do not know the price of speakers or optional microphones for the moment.
