The demonic nun of Conjuring 2 returns to terrify us in this film whose story begins following the suicide of a young nun in a Romanian abbey. The Vatican then commissions a priest with a troubled past and a novice to lead the investigation. Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, The Fall of the House of Usher) first adapts Stephen King with this 2017 film in which Jessie must fight to survive when her husband suddenly dies, leaving her handcuffed to the bed as they try to spice up their marriage at their isolated lake house.

The franchise Halloween returned to cinemas in 2018 with this film once again starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. She must then once again face Michael Myers, the masked killer who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his murderous madness on Halloween night 40 years earlier.
