At the end of last week, the announcement of Netflix results brought very bad news in France: theIncrease in the price of all subscriptions. For those who had subscribed to the platform via Free or Canal+, the prices will also increase … except for the offer with advertisements.

Netflix also becomes more expensive at Free and Canal+

First emails have indeed started arriving at subscribers Freebox Ultra and Delta taking advantage of a Netflix subscription. If the operator maintains the price of the offer Standard with advertisingthe other formulas do not benefit from the same preferential treatment.

We thus find the recently announced pricing increase: +1.5 € per month for the subscription Standardagainst +2 € for the Premium. Keeping its Netflix offer at Free still remains much more advantageous:

• Standard at € 9/month instead of € 14.99/month
• Premium at 16 €/month instead of € 21.99/month

We therefore faced a monthly reduction of € 5.99 reserved for Freebox Ultra and Delta subscribers compared to the prices practiced directly by Netflix.

For his part, Canal+ made the choice to absorb the price increase on the formula Standardincluded in its cine/series packages. To go to Premiumonly a slight increase of € 0.50 is applied, with a passage of the option at € 7 against € 6.50 before.
