
Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed series has finally found its lead actor
A few months after its officializationthe live-action series Assassin’s Creed from Netflix has just taken a step closer to reality with the announcement of a first name in its casting: Toby Wallace. The actor was revealed as one of the regular actors in the future adaptation of the Ubisoft game.
From Sex Pistols to assassins
Barely 30 years old, the British actor already has a nice CV. Toby Wallace notably starred in the HBO show Euphoriamovies Milla, Bikeriders, Edenand he was even the main performer in the mini-series Pistol about the famous English punk rock band, released in 2022.

Our colleagues at Deadline, who had exclusive information, specify that Wallace will be one of the two main actors in this future series. Assassin’s Creedwhich the streaming giant presents as “a thrilling thriller”.
The official synopsis promises a story “centering on the secret war between two dark factions — one determined to shape the future of humanity through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will — through pivotal historical events, as they compete to shape the destiny of humanity.”

Filming of the series is due to begin in 2026 in Italy, which is to serve as the main location for the plot, although the period in which it takes place is still uncertain. Created by showrunners Roberto Patino (Westworld) and David Wiener (Halo), this series Assassin’s Creed is also produced by Matt O’Toole, and the trio Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin and Genevieve Jones for Ubisoft Film & Television.
The franchise Assassin’s Creed is one of the most popular video games, with more than 230 million copies sold. The series began in 2007, and has produced 14 main games and a multitude of spin-off games. The last game, Assassin’s Creed Shadowswas released in 2025.
