Nintendo is starting to rage with Switch 2 pirates

Despite all the protections of the world, the Nintendo Switch 2 has a weakness, namely its retrocompatibility with the previous console. The latter, also well protected,, however, died a little more than a year after its launch with several forms of hacking, including the Mig Switch. It is a modified cartridge allowing to copy, store and launch games, purchased or hacked, which Nintendo obviously does not see a good eye.

Initially incompatible with the Nintendo Switch 2, the tool has now operated since an update operated by its manufacturer. Users have therefore tried to take advantage of it before being banned by Nintendo. In any case, this is what users report on reddit and X-Twitter.

For the moment, only consoles seem banned and prohibited from using online services, not the accounts of the pirates. If the loss of internet access is mainly embarrassing to be able to play online or update its console, it may also quickly become embarrassing to download games. Recall that Nintendo cartridges are more and more empty and claim a download via a code, despite their price revised upwards.

If you use the MIG Switch, including to store legally purchased games, therefore avoid connecting online, Nintendo having obviously found a quick way to detect and punish the use of the tool. Beyond a possible account banishment, under its conditions of use, Nintendo gives itself the right to burn a console in the event of non-compliance with its rules.
