Nothing Phone 3: its price has just been revealed, and it will make you cringe your teeth

Carl Pei caused a sensation during the Android Show by revealing in a half-word what everyone feared: the Nothing Phone (3) will cost around 800 pounds sterling. Or more than 900 € when it was released in Europe. A spectacular tariff jump which contrasts with the initial philosophy of the brand, based on accessibility, visual audacity … and a certain economic sense.

The promise? A better finished, more efficient, more ambitious smartphone. The reality? A device that remains, to date, anchored in the mid -range, even if it comes to flirt with the high -end codes.

The Nothing Phone (3) should embark the new processor Snapdragon 8s Gen 3a chip engraved in 4 Nm designed to offer solid performance, close to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but without reaching the level of the real florets of 2025. It will allow good fluidity, multitasking without hung, and controlled energy consumption. Before Nothing, Realme should be the first brand to adopt it.

On the screen side, we are talking about a 6.7 -inch Amoled slab, 120 Hz, with a maximum boosted brightness – probably around the 1,600 nits, which will make it perfectly readable outdoors. To this would be added 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a revisited photo module, without however reaching the level of a Pixel 8 Pro.

The battery should revolve around the 4,700 mAh, with a quick 45 W wired recharging and wirelessly at 15 W. Nothing exceptional therefore, but a coherent set … For a smartphone around 500 €. At more than € 900, the note becomes difficult to justify.

Nothing also relies on refined house software, with exclusive functions linked to The glyph interface (The famous LEDs on the back), extended personalization options, and a philosophy always focused on simplicity.

This change of course may be aimed at a larger, or more demanding audience. But at this price level, the slightest hardware or software will not be forgiven. Design will no longer be enough to illusion: it will be necessary to convince on all fronts. The Nothing Phone (3) is officially Expected for the third quarter of 2025with a probable launch date in July, according to declarations by Carl Pei.
