NVIDIA 576.02 pilot: a monumental update for your RTX, why you need to install it now

The deployment of driver 576.02 does not go unnoticed: Nvidia corrects an impressive series of bugs there, often reported since the launch of RTX cards 5070,, 5070 TI,, 5080 And 5090.

Random crashes, black screens, instability around the DLSS 4 combined with G-Sync … So many problems which, if they were not manifested in our own lab tests, have been noted on certain configurations. This WHQL, dense and technical update, aims as much to appease feedback as to strengthening the overall reliability of the GeForce ecosystem.

Far from a simple routine patch, this update has an impressive series of fixes. It targets the potential conflicts between DLSS 4 and G-Sync, resolves black screens reported on some RTX 5090and improves stability under Windows 11 24h2. Nvidia also lists the resolution of punctual crash in Fortnite,, Monster Hunter Wildsor Overwatch 2as well as notable optimizations for The Last of Us Part I,, UNCHARTED Or Control.

Several graphic artefacts are also corrected, as is a series of bugs affecting the HDMI/Displayport interface, the Daisy Chain screens, etc. In all, no less than 32 major bugs are listed as resolved, which gives this update a rare magnitude in the history of Nvidia pilots. It is not a simple “Game Ready Driver”, but a big software cleaning. A measure as preventive as it is restorative.

What strikes is the volume: almost two whole pages of corrective in the version notes. An effort rarely so extensive for a Game Ready driver. Nvidia seems to want to reassure, as much as anticipate possible problems on a larger scale – especially with the growing adoption of the generation of images by AI.

Note also on the developer side: the OpenCL compiler has been updated (NVVM 7.0 with Clang), Vulkan/Opencl extensions have been reinforced, and several limitations on HDR management, multi-GPU or HDMI audio are now better documented, or even corrected.
