According to the feedback from its increasingly numerous users, the Steam Deck is a portable console miracle that prompted many players to forget their PC in a corner. But the valve console, however, was fairly quickly limited by its modest hardware when it comes to properly turning very gourmet games. To remedy this, no choice, you have to go through local streaming or in the cloud. For this last solution, NVIDIA has just deployed a weight argument for its GeForce NOW service: a native application.
A native application for real improvements
Announced last January as part of the CES, this application replaces the solution used so far, namely Google Chrome, hand -configured to be able to operate GeForce Now.

The NVIDIA service is capable, in this version not limited by the browser and using the highest subscription (ultimate, based on RTX 4080), to run games up to 4K at 60 FPS if the steam deck is connected to a TV.

HDR10 support and NVIDIA technologies like SLR and DLSS 4 are also part (but not G-SYNC) to enhance and optimize games. Go through the cloud rather than the console itself therefore improves performance and image quality, but also the autonomy of the machine, whose resources are less involved. Nvidia announces up to 50 % of autonomy in addition to its service.
More than 2,200 games are currently compatible with GeForce Now, whose recent obscure light cards: Expedition 33 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion RemaStered. For installation, simply go to the NVIDIA website via the console in office mode and download the application. She then finds herself as a game in the Steam toy library.
