Last week, after months of rumors, Samsung finally launched the One UI 8.5 beta program on some of its Galaxy smartphones. However, this version would not tell us everything about the planned new features, just to keep a few surprises on the occasion of the officialization of the Galaxy S26.

For the Galaxy S26, One UI 8.5 would have an iPhone AI function in store

Would you like to use a little artificial intelligence in your smartphone? Samsung actually intends to add a layer, just to highlight its Galaxy compared to to iPhones from its long-time competitor: Apple.

Although the beta revealed some subtle developments brought by One UI 8.5, the South Korean firm would keep some surprises in reserve. On Twitter/X, leaker Chun Bhai (@chunvn8888) explained that “many features are not yet available, as they are AI functions exclusive to Galaxy S26”.

It must be said that this version did not reveal many new features for the Galaxy AI suite of tools, while the rumors ran wild on the subject.

According to the informant, one of these functions would be the summary of notifications “in the last 24 hours”allowed by the model Gauss from Samsung. Similarly, the supported languages would be English, Korean, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, Vietnamese, and Thai.

The opportunity for the South Korean to catch up on the few Apple Intelligence functions of the iPhone, which has been carrying around the summary of notifications for several months, after a more than chaotic launch last spring.

The fact remains that Samsung is well ahead in the field of AI, with an omnipresent and boosted Gemini, while the assistant made in Cupertino Siri will still not be entitled to it when the Galaxy S26 will be launched end of February 2026.
