A familiar design, but pumped with hormones

At first glance, the OnePlus 15 looks like a large format version of the OnePlus 13T (or 13s), who had not made the journey to us. Same angular silhouette, same very flat lines on the edges as on the screen, but with a little extra weight: 215 grams on the scale. The device, however, remains reasonable with a format of 161.4 × 76.7 × 8.2 mm and benefits from IP68/69K certification, enough to survive dust and water without difficulty.

Its front is dominated by a large 6.78-inch Oled screen. OnePlus slips in an LTPO panel capable of climbing up to 165 Hz in gamingwith a peak brightness announced at 1800 cd/m². Everything is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass, to limit unpleasant surprises in the event of a fall.

Under this display lies the centerpiece: the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. This is the processor that we will find in the ultra-premium models of 2026. In other words, it should not weaken for a while, even less so with 12 to 16 GB of RAM depending on the version, and up to 512 GB of storage.

A revisited photo section

Notable change in terms of photography: OnePlus is giving up on its collaboration with Hasselblad and adopting an in-house processing called DetailMax.

The triple dorsal photo module is now housed in a square block with rounded corners, more discreet than the circular shape of older generations. We find there:

  • A 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main sensor with optical stabilization (f/1.8)
  • Also a 50 Mpx x3.5 telephoto lens, with a focal length equivalent to 80 mm (f/2.8, OIS)
  • A 50 Mpx ultra wide-angle too, opening at f/2

The front camera remains faithful to a definition of 32 Mpx, thanks to its Sony IMX709 sensor (f/2.4).

battery-OnePlus15

An XXL battery and (very) fast charging

OnePlus sees even greater autonomy with a battery which, in the absence of filling itself with protein, increases its capacity to 7300 mAh thanks to Silicon NanoStack technology. And if that wasn’t enough, wired charging goes up to 120W, while wireless charging reaches 50W.

The OnePlus 15 runs Android 16 via OxygenOS 16. The interface relies heavily on its new AI functions, while promising a fluid and personalized experience. In terms of software lifespan, the manufacturer announces four years of system updates, supplemented by two additional years of security patches.

Aggressive pricing positioning

The OnePlus 15 is sold at €979 in its 256 GB version. A price €50 lower than that of the OnePlus 13 during its launch. The fact remains that the market is strong: between Pixel 10 of Google and the Galaxy S25 from Samsung, this newcomer will have to play tight to find a place.
