Orange offers 5G all summer: here’s how to enjoy it now

After activating 5G in all its subscribers During the 2024 OlympicsOrange relaunches its seduction operation to introduce its ultra-fast network. But this time, the option is not activated by default: it must indeed be activated manually from your account. We explain how!

Faced with always attractive 5G packages, Orange does not try to align with package low costbut rather to convert its current 4G customers. Users have indeed received the following message by SMS: “Good news! This summer, we open access to 5G for free if you have a 5G compatible mobile. It’s free and without change of offer”.

For this, you simply have to activate the commercial offer Discovery 5G 2025 before July 21. Three ways are available to take advantage of it:

• Via the link received by message
• From your Orange customer area At the following address
• With the application Orange and me

After this step, Orange displays a summary of the 5G option, specifying that it is offered for a period of two months. It will thus be possible to try it throughout the period of school holidays – in July and August – and even for a few weeks at the start of the school year in September.

Note: it may be that the 5g does not automatically activate your compatible smartphone after activation of the offer. If this is the case, it is recommended to activate and then deactivate the plane mode, or even restart your device.

If that is not enough, check in the network settings that 5G is activated. The option can, by default, be set to 4G only, which prevents access to other networks – including 5G.
