Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Disney+ reveals epic trailer for season 2

Percy Jackson prepares to go in search of the Golden Fleece in the second season of the series Disney+ which is preparing its return to the streaming platform next month. A new trailer has also surfaced to show that the young hero will have to fight to save the Half-Blood Colony.

Percy to the rescue of his friends

It’s almost time to reunite with Percy Jackson and his friends in season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympiansthe Disney+ series adapted from the successful saga by author Rick Riordan. In this new adventure, the Half-Blood Colony is in danger and Percy must embark on “an epic odyssey across the Sea of Monsters to find his best friend Grover, and recover the only object capable of saving the camp: the Golden Fleece.”

The official synopsis adds that “Helped by Annabeth, Clarisse and his new Cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy must survive this crucial ordeal in an attempt to thwart the plans of Luke, the Titan Cronus and their plan to wipe out the Colony — and ultimately, Olympus itself.”

Season 2 of this series created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg (Black Sails) features a main cast consisting of Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn and Daniel Diemer.

Several guest stars will appear throughout the season, such as Tamara Smart in the role of Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, Jason Mantzoukas in the guise of Dionysus, Timothy Simons in the skin of Tantalus and Lin-Manuel Miranda returning in the boots of Hermes. Following the death of actor Lance Reddick, Courtney B. Vance takes over the role of Zeus.

The first two episodes of this second season will be released on December 10 on Disney+ and the following will be broadcast on the SVOD service every Wednesday.
