In the well -oiled small theater of the video game industry, timing is never a coincidence. By announcing its State of Play for this Tuesday, June 4, Sony priority to two major events: the Summer Game Fest of Geoff Keighley (scheduled for 6) and above all, the thunderous arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2. In other words, PlayStation wants its news making noise before that of others covers everything.

Concretely, the program for this program promises to be dense: almost 40 minutes of direct, exclusively focused on PS5 games. Trailers, new exit dates, updates and (hope) one or two real surprises-that’s enough to occupy the media space and tickle the curiosity of the players. We are talking about a “Focus on the titles not to be missed”a formula that suggests a few new announcements, without advancing too much.

Between the highly anticipated Death Stranding 2: On the Beachthe almost certain return ofAstro Bota presentation of Ghost of Yōteiof Sorosand persistent rumors around Resident Evil 9 or Wolverinethis state of play could well be more explosive than it seems.

The State of Play will be broadcast from 11 p.m. this evening, French time, with a period planned for more than 40 minutes, on the official YouTube and Twitch PlayStation channels.
