Modernized design, but in continuity
Called PowerBeats Fit, this model is an evolution of aging Beats Fit Prolaunched in 2021. They generally resume their aesthetics, their dimensions contained in their silicone support fins. The brand all the same grants them a modernized design, like that of voluminous PowerBeats Pro 2launched at the start of the year. The PowerBeats Fit then distinguished themselves from their elders by an “stem” integrated more harmoniously into the hulls, thanks to rounded rather than angry lines. They also equip themselves with a whole new Orange Signature finish, identical to that of the PowerBeats Pro 2.
Carried by the athletes Justin Jefferson and Jayden Daniels in the promotion video, the PowerBeats Fit are obviously oriented towards sporting use. However, we do not yet have information on their level of resistance to elements. We hope that Beats took care to provide them with an IP55 or IPX7 certification. It is not won, however, given that the high -end PowerBeats Pro 2 only have an IPX4 certification, a little too light for a sports model.
A heart rate sensor inherited from PowerBeats Pro 2?
Beats has not announced anything about their sound architecture, their autonomy, or even any new features. We can nevertheless expect the PowerBeats Fit inherit certain characteristics introduced during the PowerBeats Pro 2. We could then count on a sensor dedicated to monitoring the heart rate, a function of which Airpods Pro 3 planned for this year could also benefit. In addition, as a modernized version of Fit Pro, the PowerBeats Fit will undoubtedly integrate a noise reduction system and will benefit from further integration within the Apple ecosystem (Health Apps, Siri, etc.).
Without revealing their price, Apple indicates that the Beats PowerBeats will have come out in the fall of 2025, certainly between September and November. It would not be surprising that their launch intervenes upstream or just after the Keynote Apple September 9. One thing is certain: with the PowerBeats Fit, Beats intends to offer athletes a more compact and less expensive alternative to the PowerBeats Pro 2.
