Amazon, and more specifically its streaming platform Prime Videoloves AI. After introducing the textual summaries of series and the AI automatic dubbingthe firm is ready to go further at the end of November 2025. The novelty in question risks putting many fitters out of work (after the voice actors…), but at the same time help many spectators to better approach new seasons of series.

Amazon Prime Video uses AI to summarize seasons of series

Amazon’s promise is as follows: to offer “cinematic quality” video summaries of previous seasons, in order to attack a new season in the best conditions. To refresh viewers’ memories, generative AI will search for key plot elements and character arcs, then assemble related video clips. The tool then adds audio elements on top, such as effects, snippets of dialogue, music and even AI-generated narration.

To use this functionality, as for the text recaps generated by X-Ray (and the result of which is not always incredible…), a button will be offered on the details page of a series when the user launches a new season.

As is often the case, this new feature is currently only available in beta in English and only in the United States. Only a selection of Prime Original series are also affected, such as Fallout, Jack Ryan, Upload Or Bosch. Additionally, only the Amazon TV version is affected at the moment, with other devices coming in the coming months. In short, for a final version available in other countries and in other languages, we will probably have to be patient.
