Quantum 950, 650 and 250: JBL expands its gaming series with helmets for intensive game
On the occasion of Gamescom 2025 currently being held in Cologne, JBL enriches its series of gaming headsets with three new models. Among them, we find the quantum 950, the most upscale iteration ever designed by the brand, as well as the Quantum 650 and Quantum 250 intermediaries. The manufacturer also took advantage of the event to announce the new version of its JBL Quantumengine software (Mac and PC).

JBL Quanturengine: a fluifided and refined dashboard
JBL Quantumengine has a redesigned interface to provide a more intuitive configuration of the helmet and fluidized access during the game. Playing the role of dashboard, it allows you to control all the features of the helmet, regardless of the connection mode (wired, Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz). Among these, there are in particular personalized sound profiles, a precise microphone adjustment, the management of light effects, etc. To operate, JBL Quantumengine requires at least a computer under Windows 10 or MacOS 11.
New breathable mesh arce and replaceable parts
Although they are intended to complete the Quantum range, these three new JBL headsets stand out for their unprecedented design. The three models are equipped with a new patented arch in breathable mesh, supposed to offer a weight distribution “homogeneous on a flexible structure“. In addition, the brand evokes a light design for each of them and breathable circumstant touches promoting comfort during prolonged gaming sessions. On the side of the quantum 950 and quantum 650, each room would be easily replaceable (microphone, arch, cable and pads) for more durability.

JBL Quantum 950: an ultra -complete flagship with reception station and double exchangeable battery
New flagship of the range, the quantum 950 is distinguished by new 50 mm carbon fiber transducers. According to the brand, they would provide a “Response in optimized high frequencies“and one”Ultra low distortion rate“. Through JBL Quantumin software, the Quantum 950 also supports space audio with head follow -up, and gives access to an equalizer for precise tone adjustment. An active noise reduction system, adapting in real time to the surrounding noise level, is also part.
To communicate effectively with its teammates, JBL announces the introduction of a new 6 mm deported cardioid microphone, against 4 mm for all current models. Naturally, an AI algorithm powered by JBL QuantUngine makes our conversations more intelligible by eliminating substantive noises.
The Quantum 950 would also draw out from the game thanks to a reception station provided both as a basis of charging and dongle 2.4 GHz with low latency. This wireless base would also offer quick access to audio settings and RGB lighting. To vary the connection methods if necessary, the quantum 950 also includes a 5.3 Bluetooth receiver and a wired audio input. PC, console, smartphone, etc., it is then compatible with all types of sources.

Delivered with two exchangeable batteries, the quantum 950 promises to never make a failed leap during extension games. A discharged battery is easily replaced at any time, without interrupting the game. Each of them offers up to 25 hours of autonomy and recharges when placed on a dedicated location of the station.
JBL Quantum 650 & 250: Complete intermediaries for tight budgets
Second most upscale JBL gaming helmet, the quantum 650 takes up most of the flagship characteristics of the quantum 950, such as its exchangeable batteries (45 h of in total), its 50 mm carbon fiber transducers, its flexible connectivity and its cardioid microphone. Only the reception station, active noise reduction and RGB lighting is lacking in the call. JBL Quantumin compatibility is however well guaranteed.
Placed above the basic Quantum 100, the quantum 250 is essential as an entry-level model. If it takes up the design and transducers of the new Gaming JBL creations, it is limited to the wired connection by means of a mini-jack 3.5 mm cable. Only the microphone and the pads are replaceable.
Quantum 950, quantum 650 and quantum 250 will be available soon at prices of € 349.99, € 149.99 and € 59.99. The quantum 950 is only available in black and white, while quantum 650 and quantum 250 add purple and turquoise finishes to their palettes.
