Realme 14 and 14T: Facing the Redmi Note and the Galaxy A, Realme launches his counter-offensive

Long set back on the telephony market in Europe, Realme deploys a growing range of smartphones. After theGT7 Pro launched at the end of 2024 on the high -end segment, but also a 14 pro+ At the right value for money, the Chinese firm today launches two very affordable terminals: the 14 and 14T, both compatible with 5G and available at prices below € 350. Suffice to say that Realme hopes to place itself on a segment today very largely occupied both by the Galaxy A of Samsung, but also by the Redmi Note of Xiaomi. At the credit of these two smartphones: an imposing battery of 6000 mAh, which is part of the brand’s desire to offer very long -term autonomies, evidenced by its recent works which led to the presentation ofA Phone concept With a 10,000 mAh accumulator.

The two smartphones are actually almost identical. The Realme 14 and 14t display a similar design, with their 6.67 -inch AMOLED Full HD+ screen (120 Hz, maximum brightness of 2000 cd/m²), a weight of 196 grams and an IP68/69 certification sanctioning their resistance to immersion in water, even hot. As we specify above, the two devices have 6000 mAh batteries, with silicon carbon, and the manufacturer plays the durability card, announcing that they are able to endure 1400 charging cycles without flinching. The load, precisely, can reach a power of 45 W, which conforms to the mid -range market; This is what a Samsung Galaxy A36 or a Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5g. The battery integrated into these series 14 is undoubtedly the subject of significant investments, which in itself justify some compromises: the two smartphones have a single back photo module (50 megapixel sensor, accompanied by a module dedicated to the depth of 2 MPX), and therefore play the card of efficiency more than versatility.

At the rank of the differences between the 14 and 14T, the chip that animates the two devices. We thus find a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 in controls of 14 – for comparison, the Samsung Galaxy A36 is betting on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, but has more photo modules. The chip benefits from 12 GB of RAM, with 256 GB of storage (without port microSD), announcing very suitable performance. Less well loti, Realme 14T is animated by a Dimensity 6300 chip designed by Mediatek, engraved in 6 Nm (4 Nm for the Snapdragon), and accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It is the adoption of this chip which explains that the Realme 14T is satisfied with WiFi AC, when the 14 is compatible with WiFi 6. Taking into account the price difference between the two products, no doubt it will turn more easily to Realme 14: count a price of € 349 (12/256 GB) while the 14T costs € 299 (8/256 GB).
