As a reminder, the Rog Xbox Ally and the Rog Xbox Ally X are laptop consoles embarking on a Windows 11 interface specially designed for video games. The operating system is still today the weak point of the portable console market as the MSI CLAW or the Lenovo Legion Go. Only the Steam deck stands out from the mass thanks to Steamos, this fork of the Bazzite distribution.
On the technical side, the Rog Xbox Ally has a Ryzen Z2A AMD chip (4 Zen2 calculation hearts, 8 RDNA2 graphic cores) of a power equivalent to that of the Steam deck of first generation, and a battery of 60 Wh. As for the Rog Xbox Ally X, it is placed as the flagship model with an APU AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme (8 calculation cores (3 x Zen 5, 5 Zen 5c), 16 Graphic cores RDNA 3.5) much more powerful. Another advantage, its 80 W battery which should guarantee more substantial autonomy.
