Samsung abandons this spectacular technology on its wastes.

History will remember that it was in 2015, during the IFA in Berlin, that Samsung unveiled in the amazing world one of the largest revolutions in the world of laundry washing since the invention of the automatic laundry distributor: The Addwash hatch. It must be admitted that the expulsory opportunities are quite rare in the cozy world of large household appliances, a fortiori when it comes to washing machine.

As a reminder, Addwash technology takes the form of a small hatch placed directly on the porthole: thanks to it, the user can introduce small textile parts into the drum, in the middle of cycle, without stopping the program or draining the tank. Goodbye the solitary socks, arrived in teenage crises in front of a forgotten t-shirt in the laundry of the day and which must be absolutely impeccable for in a few hours … More interesting, you can especially enjoy the excellent rinsing capacities of the Samsung washing machine after having washed a delicate piece in hand.

Sacrificed on the altar of premiumization

Oh yes, this word is naughty: premiumisation. But such a news deserves such a ugly term. Because if Addwash disappears from our portholes, it is not because this feature has not met its audience or that it will be improved to become a kind of Addwash 2.0. No, the reason is much more earth-to-earth: it does not stick to the will of Samsung to offer more aesthetic, more attractive, more premium products as they say in marketing schools. Future generations will therefore have to do without the very practical addwash hatch for low aesthetic reasons: this world is definitely very bad. Instead, you will have to be satisfied with (so) artificial intelligence, immense touch screens or the Ecobubble system which facilitates the formation of foam even at low temperature.

Other suspended technologies?

In order to differentiate itself from competition, Samsung has often offered innovative solutions to simplify the lives of users and the Addwash hatch was perfectly stuck to this philosophy. Does this sad disappearance mean that Samsung changes its rifle? Should we fear the abandonment of Dual Door Dual Dual COOK articulated door system with a divisible cavity of the manufacturer or that of the magnetic knobs of certain brand tables of the brand, such as the NZ63J9770EK? We hope not!
