Four years later, the South Korean firm puts an end to its operating system for connected watches by abandoning one of the flagship functions on a dozen models: the Galaxy Store.

These Galaxy Watch will soon no longer be able to download applications: here are the models concerned

In May 2024, Samsung announced the gradual end of the Galaxy Store on Tizen OS. It started last September with the end of the distribution of paid apps on the Application store for the old Galaxy Watch. A few months later, more specifically on May 31, 2025, it was the turn of the free apps to no longer be available for download.

We are now approaching the fateful moment for the application shop of several Samsung connected watches, September 30, 2025, with the end of the apps re -lengthening.

Consequently, users of a dozen galaxy Watch will definitely be blocked with the applications installed before this date. Beware of those who will delete later, because they cannot be recovered.

The end of the Galaxy Store support precisely affects these 11 models:

  • Samsung Gear, Gear 2, Gear Live, Gear S, Gear S2, Gear S3 and Gear Sport
  • Galaxy Watch, Watch Active, Watch Active 2 and Watch 3

People with these connected watches will have to be satisfied with what they installed from September 30, 2025, or renew their equipment with a more recent model to take advantage of the multitudes of applications available on the Wear OS Play Store.

For information, Samsung announced last July three models that have everything to please: the Galaxy Watch 8, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
