Samsung makes its galaxy ring much more useful with a welcome update

Launched in 2024, the Galaxy Ring, the connected ring of Samsung, is regularly updated by the firm to make it more efficient and useful. New firmware (stamped Q50xwwu2ayd1) seems to be on the way. It is currently deployed in South Korea, but the rest of the world will not be long in enjoying it.

The Galaxy Ring gains in precision and functionality

Two features are at the heart of this update. The first allows you to better calculate the energy score that Samsung indicates in the Samsung Health application. The latter is for the record a daily summary based on different measurements made by the ring (sleep, heart rate at rest …), allowing to get an idea of ​​its level of shape, both fitness and rest side.

From now on, the user can precisely indicate the quantity of sporting activity carried out during the day in order to calculate a more precise and relevant energy score. AI is also there to analyze the history of the user and advise him of actions to take for his health.

An ever more connected Samsung ring

The second addition makes the ring much more connected with its environment. The Galaxy Ring can, with this update, connect to smartthing devices to control them to improve the bearer’s sleep quality. What possibly change the temperature via a thermostat, lower the sound of an enclosure or turn off a light.

Note that to take advantage of all this you also need the Samsung Health application in version 6.29.5 minimum.
