History and situation
Inaugurated in 1953, the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit hosted the first Formula 1 race in 1963. Pilots such as Ayrton Senna, to whom a statue was dedicated in 1997, competed on this circuit, one of the most important in Italy. Located near the small town of Imola, it is 40 km east of Bologna and 80 km east of the Ferrari factory in Maranello.
