SFR Fiber: the operator shakes up bonus streaming services with its boxes

To attract customers to their boxes, ISPs can use several criteria. It is difficult today to modify the main ones much more, namely the price and the speed, given that almost everyone offers sufficiently high performance and low enough prices not to fall too far behind the others. Thus, some try to play on the side of the bonuses offered in addition to Internet access. This is the case of SFR, which has however just very concretely modified the elements from which it is possible to benefit when subscribing to an SFR Fiber Power or SFR Fiber Premium offer.
What changes for SFR Fiber?
Until a few days ago, SFR offered the following bonuses:
- SFR Fiber Power (€36.99/month): six months of free subscription to Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or HBO Max
- SFR Fiber Premium (€44.99/month): nine months of subscription offered to Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or HBO Max
But at the end of November 2025, it’s ancient history. First of all, exit Prime Video and HBO Max bonuses, hello to Ciné+ OCSalong with Disney+ and Netflix which remain in place.
For those less in the know, remember that Ciné+ OCS is the result of the merger between Ciné+ de Canal+ and the late OCS. Normally billed at €12.99/month, this French platform brings together numerous French and foreign series, as well as often recent cinema. Perhaps not enough to compensate for the disappearance of Prime Video and especially HBO Max, but still.
A much less interesting offer
Then, there is no longer any question of free months from now on, but of a simple reduction on the price of platform subscriptions: €3/month for the SFR Fiber Power offer and €5/month for SFR Fiber Premium. Note that this reduction can apply to all Netflix, Disney+ and Ciné+ OCS packages (Premium, with advertising, etc.), but that it is only possible to select one service. It is therefore impossible to combine several reductions of €3 on two or three SVoD platforms.
With this limitation, and despite the fact that this reduction of €3 is not limited in time here, you will have to remain a subscriber to SFR for a good while to reach the level of profitability of the months previously offered. In short, unless you particularly appreciate Ciné+ OCS, new SFR subscribers are losers here.
