On March 17, 2025, the SNCF announced very good news for its application through a blog post: “SNCF Connect evolves to support its users from first to the last km!”. The opportunity for the railway company to add some essential features to bring travelers to a station, then accompany them to their final destination.

Rental, VTC and pedestrian GPS in SNCF Connect
First feature added to SNCF Connect: the integration ofUber. It is thus possible to take advantage of the network of the famous VTC platform to move to or from a station. “The association of the two companies is also the opportunity to maintain journeys that are most respectful of the possible environment from start to finish, with 95% hybrid or electric vehicles available on Uber”specifies the SNCF.
To book a race, just go to the section Taxi and VTC in the tab Tickets. After entering your destination, it will be possible to choose the type of desired vehicle and take advantage of an experience similar to Uber after booking (details on the driver, vehicle model, registration, waiting time, messaging and regulations).

SNCF Connect is then enriched by a vehicle rental offer, offered in partnership with Budget Group reviews. The advantage lies in the discounts offered for reservations made via the application: 15 % for travelers with a train ticket and an SNCF reduction card, 10 % for those with one or the other, compared to 5 % for people who neither have nor the other.
In addition to these two options added to the application allowing to facilitate transit to a distant station or final destination, SNCF Connect also has a solution for smaller journeys. The latest novelty introduced in March 2025 is indeed pedestrian guidance. Just as would Google Mapsthis solution acts as GPS, with all the steps and a traced updated in real time to reach the destination on foot.
