Spotify: the prices fly away from our neighbors, soon in France?

Definitely, in April it is not good to be a subscriber to an online service. After Netflix and the PlayStation Plusit’s Spotify’s turn to increase the price of its subscriptions.

If France is not yet concerned, there is no doubt that it should not be long, since three of our neighbors are: Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands.

An increase for all Spotify formulas

As of May 1ᵉʳ, the monthly prices will climb in the three countries, but not in an identical way. Here is the detail:

In Belgium, Spotify is partially aligned with the prices charged by Deezer:

• Individual premium: 11.99 euros (against 10.99 euros)
• Premium Duo: 16.99 euros (against 14.99 euros)
• Premium family: 20.99 euros (against 17.99 euros)
• Premium students: 6.99 euros (against 5.99 euros)

In the Netherlands and Luxembourg, the increase is even more salty 1 euro, except for the student rate:

• Individual premium: 12.99 euros (against 10.99 euros)
• Premium Duo: 17.99 euros (against 14.99 euros)
• Premium family: 21.99 euros (against 17.99 euros)
• Premium students: 6.99 euros (against 5.99 euros)

In France, the prices currently charged (with atypical values ​​due to the Streaming tax set up by the government) are as follows:

• Individual premium: 11.12 euros
• Premium Duo: 15.17 euros
• Premium family: 18.21 euros
• Premium students: 6.06 euros

It remains to be seen whether France will soon be concerned, and according to which model. If there should be an increase, it would obviously be bad news for Spotify users, but also for those preferring its competitors (Deezer, Apple Music, Amazon Music …), who could decide to align.
