Stranger Things: we finally know the duration of the last episode of season 5

Ready to say goodbye to Eleven, Will, Mike, Dustin, Lucas and the others? It’s going to be necessary because the series Stranger Things is coming to an end soon. The very last episode of the series arrives on Netflix next January 1st and we finally know how long this “goodbye” will last.

See you on January 1, 2026 at 2 a.m. in front of Netflix to watch the final episode of Stranger Things.

This one, entitled “The World Right Side Up” will last 2 hours and 5 minutes and will mark the end of the adventures of the Hawkins teenagers. This makes this episode the second longest of the series, behind the season 4 finale, which clocked 2 hours and 19 minutes.

The gang of Stranger Things will he manage to defeat Vecna and stop the invasion of the Upside Down? We will already know a little more about this on December 26.

While the Volume 1 of season 5, made up of four episodes, has been available on the streaming platform at Red N since November 27, it is in fact on this date that the three episodes of Volume 2 arrive.

Netflix has not yet made official the durations of these three episodes but they would be as follows:

Episode 5: Shock plan – 1 hour and 43 minutes
Episode 6: Escape from Camazotz – 1 hour and 41 minutes
Episode 7: The Bridge – 1 hour and 58 minutes

Anyway, all this will keep fans of Stranger Things the day after Christmas and for New Year’s Day. The good news is that the Duffer brothers, creators of the series, have had this ending in mind for many years.

“Obviously it was stressful trying to figure out how to end the series,” Ross Duffer previously said. “Luckily, we knew for at least six or seven years what the final scene would be. We always knew how the last 40 minutes would play out.”

It remains to be discovered what they had in mind all this time on January 1st.
