It probably won’t escape you, but whether it is audio or video streaming, almost all the services concerned have seen their prices climb in recent months. What encourage the unsubscribe or the search for means to lower the bill. Here are some tips to try to continue enjoying music, series and online movies at a lower cost.

Before getting to the heart of the matter, let’s start by driving an open door: start by checking if you don’t have duplicates. Indeed, between direct subscriptions to platforms and offers sometimes explicitly proposed or not by Internet and Mobile operators, it can happen to be subscribed to the same platform several times. Do not hesitate to manually terminate the services you no longer use, while being subscribed to both Spotify and Deezer, for example, is not very useful.

Family/students subscriptions for musical streaming

The first simple way to reduce your streaming bill is to use family (or students) subscriptions offered by companies behind your favorite platforms. Especially the prerogative of musical platforms such as Spotify, Deezer or YouTube, these subscriptions certainly return more dear to the person who subscribes to it, but once the part of each member is recovered, difficult to make more profitable.

For example, a family subscription to Spotify returns to € 18.21 per month. Divided by a maximum of 6 members, this amounts to € 3 per person per month. Much better than the € 11.12 per month for a single person.

Before subscribing alone, consult the offers of the platforms and look for around you relatives who would be ready to share a subscription, where everyone has their own playlists and settings. Please note, it is however specified that you have to live under the same roof to be able to take advantage of it. In fact, for the moment, it is however possible to override this restriction.

Share your video streaming accounts

For video streaming, where family packages do not exist, it remains possible to share your account (and therefore your password) with relatives and divide the bill. Be careful however, platforms like Netflix, Disney+ and soon max Do not see this practice with a good eye. These set up blockages and constraints, and rather encourage additional users by claiming a few additional euros every month. Also pay attention to the limit of simultaneous screens: too many people on the same account can lead to a traffic jam.

For this practice, if you do not have motivated relatives to share an account, platforms exist to find accounts or people. This is the case, for example, of Spliiitwhich allows you to share accounts ranging from streaming to video games, including VPNs, well-being or reading.

Crack for a group offer

Last solution to reduce the bill while having fun: buying a subscription that brings together several platforms at a lower cost. For this, in Svod the champion remains Canal+. Its Canal+ Ciné Séries subscription in particular, although one ones (less if you share it …), remains the best content/market price ratio. Note that it is possible when subscribing to enter into any existing accounts to keep its viewing history.

Proposed from € 29.99 per month (and often on promotion, to monitor), with or without commitment, this pack offers not only the channel+ series and films (including the latest feature films six months after their room release), but also the content from Apple TV+, Max, Netflix, Paramount+ and Ciné+ OCS. Complemented by a few other small bonuses, this offer therefore amounts to a fraction of the price if all this was taken individually.

To conclude, let us note that it is also possible to subscribe to subscriptions which broadcast advertising to take advantage of a lower price, while libraries and services like Arte or France TV also offer free quality content or at low prices.
