Much appreciated by hackers, the Tiny11 utility already allows you to enjoy an installation of Windows 11 at the reduced size and devoid of many elements deemed unnecessary. But its developer NTDEV wanted to go further. In a video, he presented his latest open source creation based on Tiny11: Nano 11, a script allowing to obtain an image of the Microsoft operating system even smaller and really going to the essentials.
Windows 11 reduced to its simplest expression
Currently, a complete and official image of Windows 11 weighs 5.84 GB. Thanks to Nano11, this size drops to 2.28 GB. Once the system is installed, it occupies 8.32 GB. An already appreciable size, but NTDEV then used the LZX compression to go to only 3.25 GB.
