The Switch 2 switch reprocmpatibility continues to have fun. This May 27, 2025, Nintendo published a new official list detailing the games of the first Switch which will be compatible with its new machine. If some major titles will benefit from a free update, others are still on the bench. And unpleasant surprises: several entertainment applications disappear for the moment.

So far, Fitness Boxing was an exception, the only game listed as in adaptation. This is no longer the case: Doom Eternal,, NBA 2K25,, Pizza Tower, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist or Gal Guardians: Demon Purge are now reported as “compatible via update”. These fixes, according to Nintendo, will be available at the launch of the console or “shortly after”.
There are now more than 40 games concerned, a major advance for players wishing to switch from the switch to his successor without sacrificing their toy library. However, the transition is not completely fluid: titles like Alien Insulation,, Harvestella,, Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition Or *overcooked! All You Can Eat *are always listed with “start -up problems”.
Another black point: the absence, for the moment, of several streaming applications on Switch 2. Niconico, Abema, Hulu, Crunchyroll and Inkypen will simply not work on the new console, without any solution being mentioned yet. A decision that could cool those who used switch as a mini-multimedia-platform.
As it stands, the retrocompatibility of The Switch 2 So resembles an in progress site: notable efforts, but a still incomplete list and persistent shadow areas. You can also find The list of games will be available at its launch here.
