SwitchBot launches a connected thermostat designed for European radiators

SwitchBot is enriching its catalog of connected objects with a set intended for radiator-heated homes. The Matter Panel Connected Radiator Thermostat Combo brings together three elements: a radiator thermostat, a climate panel with integrated sensor and a Matter-compatible Mini Hub.
The connected thermostat uses intelligent programming to adapt heating to daily habits. Users can set time slots, automatically reduce heating when away and restart it before returning home. The device also detects window openings: in the event of a draft, the heating stops immediately to avoid losses. A geolocation function also allows the heating to be activated before the user arrives.

A climate panel for more reliable measurements
The other central element of the combo is the house’s climate panel. Unlike thermostats placed directly on radiators, this module includes a sensor intended to measure the real temperature of the room without influence of the heat emitted by the valve.
The panel continuously displays temperature, humidity and trends on a screen and can serve as a main interface: quickly changing the temperature, triggering automations or controlling several thermostats from the same point. It works with two AA batteries offering up to 24 months of autonomy.
Paired with the Matter-compatible Hub Mini, the combo can be integrated with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or Home Assistant, enabling voice control and cross-platform scenarios. In the event of a Wi-Fi outage, local communication via Bluetooth remains possible.
The thermostat is supplied with six adapters for standard valves, to cover the majority of European radiators. Installation does not require any special tools or plumbing modifications.
The SwitchBot Combo Matter Panel connected radiator thermostat is sold for €109.99 on the SwitchBot website and on Amazon.
