June 25, 2025 has passed, which means that the site connection process taxes evolves. Indeed, taxes.gouv.fr Finally is entitled to the double authentication system, adding a single -use code to connect. A method that is not trivial, since it has already been used on a multitude of online services for years.

In order to limit fraud linked to phishing campaigns and data leaks, double authentication is an effective way to add a safety layer when connecting to a site. In addition to the identifier and password, another code-generally received by e-mail or text-is requested.

This is how the government has finally decided to add this system to its platform dedicated to income statements: taxes.gouv.fr. Available since Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the double authentication on the tax site works very simply.

By making a new connection today, a message requesting a six-digit connection code received by email appears. Valid for a period of 30 minutes, the latter must be completed to access your personal space.

Good news in history: we must not do this approach with each connection. Indeed, the double authentication remains active for six months on each device and browser where you have connected to taxes.gouv.fr.

“This validity is ensured by a cookie in the browser: if you delete your cookies or change the device or a browser, a new code will be sent to you”specifies in passing the platform.

The opportunity for the Government to strengthen the security of taxpayers of taxpayers in the face of increasing digital threats.
