From August 1 to 10, 2025, the cousins of America
In 2025, the Lorient Interceltic Festival was proud to welcome its cousins from across the Atlantic: from Acadia to Louisiana via Quebec, New Brunswick, Cap Breton island, Nova Scotia, Boston and New York, Lorient lands will vibrate to the accents of the American East Coast!
Since the 16th century, hundreds of thousands of Europeans landed on the American coast, until the 20th century. Pioneers, migrants, they came from the whole old continent, France, Ireland, Scotland, the country of Wales and the British Islands to build a new life.
Crossing the Atlantic often with meager material luggage, they also won with them their roots, their cultures … and they continued to make them live, fantasize and develop them over the years. Cultural ties with the communities of the Celtic promontories of old Europe
The 2025 edition, 13 years after the last edition devoted to our Acadian friends, will honor our Celtic cousins of the New World. Opportunity to celebrate the enthusiasm and energy of artists from across the Atlantic and to build cultural bridges between our two continents.

The Pays de la Loire and SNCF Ter region offer you a € 5 ticket for the 2nd class trip from a Gare in the Pays de la Loire region to go to Lorient and return from Lorient to a station in the Pays de la Loire region.
The ticket is available for sale one month before the start of the event on our digital channels, regional ticket distributors and at the station counters for travel from August 01 to 10, 2025.
Non -exchangeable ticket. Repayable until the day before departure.
Valid for 1 day for 1 journey made in:
- All trains (excluding TGV, Ouigo and Ouigo Classic Train, 100% Eco intercités)
