Tesla: its Robotaxi which is not that autonomous, humans will be in reinforcement

Robotaxis test would have already been seen in the streets of Austin in Texas. Elon Musk has confirmed, on his social network, that major advancements are underway in this city. The billionaire claims that his business is testing autonomous models “A month ahead of the calendar”.
Tesla’s Robotaxi’s release is released
Tesla could therefore materialize its autonomous transport ambitions after years of promise. Robotaxi will be a real test for Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology in the company’s beta. For the company, technology is close to a commercial outing.
But doubts arise about the reliability of the FSD. The beta version works in many situations but has been involved in controversies including two fatal accidents. As for the autopilot, technology has been involved in hundreds of non -fatal accidents in the past five years.
Tesla has extended the availability of its software to more motorists in order to collect additional data and improve its technology. The FSD may have received this progress.
Humans for tele-roomed Robotaxi
The first Robotaxi tests will undoubtedly be limited but the issues are considerable for Tesla who launches a vehicle without anyone behind the steering wheel. According to an analyst from Morgan Stanley who attended a demonstration, vehicles will be a tele-opreed with humans to monitor journeys and intervene, if necessary.
But even with this tele-operation, the risks remain high for the safety of people and Tesla’s reputation in the field of autonomous driving. The company is going through a crisis with down salesall amplified by the political opinions of Elon Musk And his support for Donald Trump.
The pressure is also very strong against Waymo which already exploits Robotaxis in San Francisco, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Austin. To cope with this competitor, Tesla must prove that its autonomous vehicles hold all their promises in terms of reliability and security.
