Tesla Model Y: the state finally lifts an incomprehensible blockage, the ecological bonus is back
For weeks, it was the absurd status quo: Tesla delivered a restyled model, made in Europeproposed below the price threshold required by the French government … But customers were not entitled to any bonus. Behind the scenes, the Agency for the Ecological Transition (ADEME) dragged to validate the new file, while the concessions saw the blocked vehicles riding, and the buyers gnawed their brakes. It was not until a decree published in mid-June to finally unlock the situation.
The new model is (finally) eligible for the ecological bonus in France
One would have thought of a French administrative gag. For weeks, Tesla has been delivering in France to so -called “juniper”, restyled, products in Berlin, sold at prices compatible with the ecological bonus. Everything was aligned. Everything, except … the state. The bonus did not happen. For what ? Because the new version of the model had not yet been registered on the list of eligible vehicles, for lack of validation of its environmental score by ADEME … a grain of bureaucratic sand that was enough to seize the whole machine.
Result: thousands of vehicles remained blocked in delivery centers. Customers received emails and SMS announcing a “temporary postponement” without further explanation. A tense situation for Tesla, who saw her volume of frozen sales, but also for the state, accused of playing the watch while the bonus budget 2025 is falling.

But here it is: since June 18, the case is finally settled. An official decree, published in the Official Journal, now incorporates the yield restyled into the list of eligible cars at the ecological bonus. This late green light will allow Tesla to resume its deliveries – and customers to recover up to € 4,000 in aid, according to their tax income.
Be careful however: alone The propulsion version of Model Y is concerned, and provided that its price does not exceed € 47,000. Tesla will therefore have to play tight on her prices if she wants to stay in the nails. But the main thing is there: the regulatory strangeness is lifted, the car is officially “clean” in the eyes of France.
