The art of electric travel: Michelin and DS launch a guide dedicated to road trips by electric car
The key to a successful trip by electric car lies in its preparation. The manufacturers have understood this by offering route planners to establish a road plan taking into account stops at the charging stations. This very practical function allows you to optimize your stops and thus arrive faster at your destination.
However, some could also appreciate these imposed break times, taking advantage to discover places of interest along their journey, even if it is extended. It is at least the idea of DS Automobiles and Michelin who joined forces to offer a guide dedicated to travel by electric car, highlighting the last one N ° 8.
Baptized The art of electric travelthis guide suggests thirty different routes to the six corners of France. They were built in order to offer real road trips aimed at discovering the different regions of the country, while enjoying its travel time as much as possible. There are therefore suggestions of places to visit, addresses to which to stop lunch, but also of charging stations where to fill up with electrons along its journey.
We especially appreciate the transparency of this guide in the face of the lack of recharging infrastructure of certain regions when we move away from the main axes. However, we will advise to always verify the information indicated with different applications, since the charging networks evolve quickly and that the slow terminals, those that are most out of the main axes, are far too often out of use.
For each of the many suggested addresses, the guide indicates the nearest charging station and the distance that separates it. This 400 -page book will be available in bookstores from April 25, 2025 at a price of € 24.95.
