During the CES 2025 of Las Vegas, Nvidia announced “Digits”a mini PC equipped with a house chip designed in partnership with Mediatek. The Digits combines a “grace” chip based on ARM cores from Mediatek and a GPU, the GB10 equipped with “Blackwell” architecture, architecture that equips the GeForce RTX in series 50.

N1X and N1: the first two Arm chips of Nvidia

Two variations of this chip are expected to equip PCs and laptops: N1X and N1. The first should be available by the end of the year, it is rumored that it could equip an Alienware portable PC with graphic performance close to a Mobile GEFORCE RTX 4070 with consumption divided by two.

The second chip, the N1, could make its arrival at the beginning of next year in finer and light laptops like ultrabooks.

But it’s good The n1x chip that is talked about in geekbenchsoftware used to test the synthetic performance of the processors. The latter has the advantage of being used on all architectures (ARM, X86) and compatible with all operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, etc.).

An encouraging first benchmark

Thus, the chip would obtain a score on a single heart of 3096 and on all of its hearts – 20 according to the benchmark – from 18837. In order to get an idea, here are the scores that we obtained on different processors passed in our hands.

Thus, the score on a single heart is up to the best processors for laptops from AMD and Intel, the Ryzen AI Max 390 and Core Ultra 9 275HX of the Asus Rog Flow Z13 and HP Omen Max 16. The N1X chip is however preceded by the Apple M4 fleas that equip the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.

By soliciting all the hearts of the N1X chip, it obtained a score of 18837, a score a little higher than the Ryzen AI Max 390 chip (12c/24T). The NVIDIA chip, however, cannot rise above Apple M4 Pro released in October 2024.

Strongly an overview of the GPU performance

Note that the scores seen in Geekbench for the N1X chip were obtained on an HP motherboard operating under Linux. We will have to wait for the first scores in a complete laptop to get an idea of the final performance of the chip.

Another geekbench score is also to be monitored: Opencl, which will give a first idea of the performance of GPU hearts in synthetic calculation.
