The future film Split Fiction recruits the director of Wicked and a star of Euphoria

We learned last month that a video game film adaptation Split fiction was already under construction, when the latter had only released for a few weeks. Our colleagues from Variety We learn now who will be at the helm of this adaptation and headlining.
Of oz to the machine
He is the director of WickedJon M. Chu who will take care of carrying Split fiction On the big screen. The film script is being written by two writers of Deadpool & WolverineRhett Reese and Paul Wernick. In the casting, the actress seen in Euphoria And The White Lotus Sydney Sweeney has been recruited.
Developed by Hazelight Studios, video games Split fiction Science fiction and fantasy mix to follow the story of two authors, Mio and Zoe, while they find themselves trapped in the fictitious universes they have created. According to Varietyit has not yet been decided if Sweeney will play Mio or Zoe.

We know, however, that the actress will also be executive producer of the feature film, an activity towards which she turns more and more since we learned just a few days ago that Sweeney will also produce the adaptation of another video game, Out run.
The feature film Split fiction will be produced by Electric Somewhere and Story Kitchen companies, the latter being specialized in video game adaptations and already behind films Sonic. She also prepares the adaptation of another video game title of Hazelight Studios, It takes two.

Action-adventure game which must be played in two cooperation, Split fiction On March 6 on PlayStation 5 consoles, Xbox Series and Microsoft Windows, and met with very wide success with the public and criticism. In just one week, two million copies have been sold, and sales are only climbing.
