Most likely one of the most used applications in the world without even having to be downloaded by the user beforehand, the Google application has just taken advantage of a new update. This comes after several weeks of testing, and mainly changes the name and content of one of its menus to simplify access to research history and saved content.
Goodbye the tab recorded, replaced by activity
From now on, alongside the reception, to search and notifications the recorded menu has been replaced by activity. Within it, three sections are offered:
- Historical Display in the form of cartridges the last four searches carried out on Google’s search engine. Support on the three points allows you to record, share or delete a search. At the top right, press on X elements Allows you to display all the history, stored per day.
- Below are the Registered elements. A carousel of the contents saved by the user is offered here, such as images, sites, films and other series or travel projects in Google Maps.
- Finally, Collections brings together these same contents by themes and files.

Note that press the recordings and collections menu after pressing your profile photo opens the same collections menu.
Finally, in regions where IA mode is accessible (that is to say not in France), small aesthetic changes to harmonize certain elements of the interface have been made. Let us recall that a few weeks ago Google changed the appearance of its logo for the first time in 10 years.
