It must be said that the density of the history of the original game (released in 2020 on PlayStation) already required a minimum number of seasons on the series, and it was not the seven new episodes of season 2 that were going to do justice to the XXL intrigue.

In addition, the creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have already been vocals on this subject, and declared that they had been planned for a long time “Three or four seasons” to their series.

A few weeks ago, she is even the manager of the HBO series Francesca Orsi who had revealed that the adaptation of The Last of Us would probably last “Four seasons”without however being categorical.

Anyway, this renewal promises to do justice to the adventures of Joel, Ellie and Abby in their post-apocalyptic world, and perhaps even pave the way for a third game The Last of Uslong hoped for, but which has not yet been formalized by the Naughty Dogs studio.

In the meantime, fans will be able to discover the first episode of season 2 of The Last of Us As of this Monday, April 14, on Monday, on the Max streaming service.

This season 2, therefore made up of 7 episodes, will be broadcast weekly until its final scheduled for May 25.
