The Legend of Zelda: Bad news, Nintendo pushes the movie’s release date

Fans of the famous franchise The Legend of Zelda will have to be a little more patient to see Link and company on the big screen. After announcing an arrival at the cinema for March 2027, Nintendo has just reviewed his plans and announced a slight postponement of the long -awaited film.

Initially scheduled for the cinema for March 26, 2027, The Legend of Zelda Will finally be released in American theaters on May 7, 2027. In France, the film will even arrive two days earlier, Wednesday May 5.
A postponement of six weeks therefore, which was announced On Nintendo’s social networks via a laconic message from Shigeru Miyamoto in person:
“Here Miyamoto. For production reasons, we postpone the release date of the Live-Action film The Legend of Zelda on May 7, 2027. It will be a few weeks later than expected, and we will take the time necessary for the film to be the best possible. Thank you for your patience.”

With this change of release date, The Legend of Zelda also changes competition in theaters. Its release at the end of March would have brought it to face Sonic 4 and the next film Godzilla x Kong. Now, the adaptation of the video game is found – for the moment – all alone on its new release date in early May, simply with the next Star Wars: Starfighter Scheduled a little later on May 28.
Produced by Sony and Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda is made by Wes Ball (The labyrinth,, The Planet of the Apes: the new kingdom) and written by Derek Connolly (Pokémon: Pikachu detective,, Kong: Skull Island).
