That fans of dark and well -upset detective film are delighted, a new Netflix film has just made a place in their calendar: The Rip. The feature film, expected on January 16, 2026 on the streaming platform, is carried by the unbeatable duo Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

And to make your subscribers wait, the streaming giant has just unveiled a very promising first trailer.

Inspired by real facts, The Rip Tell the story of a team of Miami police officers who discover millions of dollars in an abandoned hideout. While the news of this impressive seizure is being established and spreads, the police no longer know what to think or who trust.

Alongside the Duo Affleck / Damon, the rest of the casting is high volley: Steven Yeun (Nope), Kyle Chandler (Argo), Scott Adkins (John Wick), Catalina Sandino Moreno (Ballerina), Teyana Taylor (ENTERGALACTIC) or Nestor Carbonell (Lost).

It must be admitted that these first images are particularly attractive, and will undoubtedly have to please amateurs of the genre, or films such as The Town,, Infiltrated or cult Heat.

The Rip is also and above all the new creation of the scriptwriter and director Joe Carnahan, already in charge of the excellent Narca,, Price or Wolf territory. He is here seconded in the script by Michael McGrale (the series Follower).

Finally, it should be noted that the film is the next production of Equity artists, the recent production company founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and already behind the films Air,, The Instigators And Mr. Wolff 2.
