The Thermomix TM7 is there: our first measures reveal impressive performance
While the Thermomix TM7 began to be distributed to the network of sales advisers, the drafting of Digital has just received the one who is so emotional. Let it be said, his arrival is a small event as the wait was long: six years separated the thermomix TM6 from his successor.

In the general euphoria, we therefore install the new brand new TM7 alongside the TM6 which, let's admit it, seems a little palot to us. More massive, more bulky, the Thermomix TM7 marks a significant aesthetic rupture against TM6.

Thermomix TM7: barely more compact dimensions
This is one of the changes most popular with the community: the Thermomix TM7 is more compact than its predecessor. If visually, the difference in congestion is striking, the dimensions are not so distant. The Thermomix TM7 is 24 cm wide, it is 1 cm less than the TM7. On the other hand, it is 4 cm lower (33 cm for the TM7 vs 37 cm for the TM6) but deeper by 5 cm (36 cm). It is the design of the device that creates this optical effect. The engine block that covers the partly bowl is no longer and the tank is now on a simple black tray. This is enough to give this impression of compactness.
The engine block of the TM7 is in fact lighter by 400 g than that of the TM6 (6.1 kg vs 6.5 kg). This difference is very subtle.
A heavier bowl for an identical capacity
If there is one point on which the thermomix is attacked, it is that of its capacity. On the TM7, it is maintained at 2.2 liters, which ensures the preparation of a meal for 4 small eaters. Placed next to each other, the bowl of the TM7 seems, however, larger. Here again it is an optical effect since the steel bowl is covered with a plastic shell (which in addition to being pretty allows you to isolate the walls to avoid burning by manipulating it). So inevitably, it increases the bowl. We go from a weight of 1.1 kg to 1.7 kg (the shell that incorporates the handle weighs in 743.9 g and the bowl 827.7 g).

Increase the weight of the bowl without increasing the capacity, there is something to tick. We will see if this overweight has an impact on the handling of the robot according to uses.
The TM7 heats faster
We have submitted two liters of water to each of the two robot-cookers to see their heating capacity. On this temperature rise race, it is the thermomix TM7 which is best: 11 min 46 s to go up to 100 ° C when the TM6 does it in 15 min. This data is the best of Our comparisonthe TM7 is by far the most swift to climb in temperature.
The thermomix TM7 drastically quieter
During the conference, Vorwerk promised that his robotter was significantly quieter than all previous models. And on this point, the German manufacturer does not lie. Where the TM6 emits 47 dB in simmering, the TM7 sends only 34 dB. It is simply stunning. Never has a robotter was so silent. Until speed 3.5, the device makes no noise. After this intensity, we then hear the whirlwind of what simmer in the bowl and not the engine. It is a feat.

At maximum speed, the two models both emit 77 dB.
A balance always as precise
We have submitted three loads to our two robots and they reveal better precision of the thermomix TM7 balance. While there is a difference of 2 grams between the weight perceived by the balance of the TM6 and that of our precision balance, the balance of the TM7 it only displayed 1 g less with our reference balance. This tiny difference, which is likely to betray a recipe, could also come from a calibration flaw of the balance of the TM6, which has been weighing regularly for 6 years.
At this stage, the measures revealed in the lab reveal fairly glorious performance for the Thermomix TM7 but we still have many points to assess. Mixing efficiency, respect and homogeneity of temperatures, electrical consumption are all criteria that we will subject to our test bench. Long and many manipulations will also allow us to see if the Thermomix TM7 also offers an exceptional grip.
We meet you very soon for the full test.
