This Game Boy Lego may break everything, here is what you need to know before its release

LEGO may again have wreaked havoc in the (large) children’s wallets. The company, always less stingy when it comes to producing sets dedicated to consoles or video games from the past or the present (Nintendo licenses, Minecraft,, Fortnite,, Horizon Zero Dawn…), has just lifted the veil on its version of the famous Game Boy. The manufacturer has multiplied the arguments to try to convince enthusiasts to crack.

Composed of 421 pieces, this relatively modest set nevertheless takes up the almost exact dimensions of the original machine. If it produces no sound or light, it wants to be a minimum interactive if leaving it alone on its display is not enough.

It is thus possible to press the buttons (directional cross, select, start, a and b), to modify the content displayed on the screen via three lenticular screens, but also to choose between two cartridges to insert on the back (The Legend of Zelda: Link’s awakening And Super Mario Land).

It would also seem that the textual elements are printed on the bricks, rather than resting stickers.

In the past, Nintendo has already proposed reconstructions of the Nintendo Nes or the Atari 2600. In 2026, a Pokémon set is also planned.
