This retro look PC case announced at the Computex will inevitably remind you of memories

Definitely, the April fish now allow brands to gauge public expectations. We think in particular of Asus with the Rog Ally or the Nvidia G-Assist software. Silverstone therefore renewed this scheme with a case with all the codes of the 90s PC boxes, announced during April 1, 2023. Building on the success of the joke, Silverstone announces to the Computex the imminent exit of the case presented under the sweet name of FLP02.

Turbo button and 5.25 “floppy drive reader

It must be said that Silverstone had already done the blow with a box in format called “Desktop” like the computers of the CDI in the 90s on which was placed the huge CRT screen, the FLP01. So this time it is a box in format called “Tour”, vertically therefore.

We find all the details of the 90s with the power switch on the front, accompanied by the lock and even the turbo button. Which, contrary to what its name indicates, does not allow you to gain in performance, but on the contrary to reduce the frequency of the processor to be compatible with the old games, otherwise they were accelerated since wedged on the frequency of the processor.

Ventillation and watercooling

However, do not be fooled by its appearance since the FLP02 is perfectly suited to the standards of the components of 2025. Vertical graphics card and crutch

There is no question here to install a GeForce 256 graphics card or a sound blaster pro 2 sound card, but it is possible to accommodate a GeForce RTX 5090 with a crutch to keep it very horizontal, or even to climb it vertically thanks to the vertical PCIe ports and a PCIE RISSER.

Silverstone’s FLP02 housing should be available in the United States towards the end of the year at a price of $ 220. It may be a joke, the price is not one.
