That’s it, theiPhone 17 pro is official And, before its presentation, rumors told us about the presence of the wireless inverted load. Except that here, adding this technology in addition to the Magsafe compatibility poses problems. Magsafe magnets create interference that complicates this functionality.
Why does the iPhone 17 Pro have no inverted load?

However, Apple has proven that the inverted load is possible with the Magsafe battery of the iPhone 12. This solution worked via the magnetic connection which allowed perfect alignment without interference between the components.
To load another smartphone or airpods, the device should be able to be magnetically leaning on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro. The usefulness would therefore be limited because of these magnetic alignment constraints.
Google proves that this is a dilemma with its Pixel 10 series. The Mountain View firm has added Qi2, an open version of the Apple Magsafe Standard. Except that the company had to sacrifice the unveiled wireless load. However, this technology was offered by previous generations of Pixel.
This decision on the part of Google confirms that there is an incompatibility between magnetic systems and an effective inverted load. The addition of Qi2 had the consequence of deleting a functionality yet present for several generations. To put it simply, the two technologies are currently excluding each other.
Before the presentation of the iPhone 17 Pro, rumors told us about the redrawing back window with an Apple centered logo to place the load area. As for improving autonomy, it put sufficient capacity on the track to supply other devices with wireless reversed recharge.
So as long as Apple will keep Magsafe as a standard of magnetic load, there is very little chance that the wireless reversed load is offered, at least effectively so that the user has real benefits.
