This WhatsApp novelty will facilitate reading messages in discussion groups
If you are in one or more animated group conversations on WhatsApp, you normally know how it can sometimes be difficult to follow what is said when messages and parallel conversations are multiplying and sometimes cross. To try to channel this phenomenon, other instant messaging services such as Discord or Slack have set up discussion wire systems (or threadsin English). Good news, it seems that Meta’s application finally catches up in this area.

After being seen in beta on iOS this summer, in this month of September it is the turn of some Android users to be able to try the functionality via version 2.25.25.7 of WhatsApp. It remains to be seen when it is deployed to the general public, but there is no doubt that it should not be too long.

With this tool, when several users respond to the same original message, the answers are grouped under the latter via a clickable link. Press the latter, which indicates the number of responses, opens a new view where the messages of this thread are displayed only. In this window, it is also possible to directly post a message which will then be added over the course and will be linked to the previous message posted.
This feature is above all practical to separate the different conversations as a clear thread within a group discussion. But it can also be vital for people who arrive on a group discussion while many answers have already been posted, taking advantage of clear and chronological threads.
